Why Did You Select This Charity? “I am supporting the Bond Between’s Respite Foster program, which allows animals to be temporarily fostered, and later reunited, if their human is navigating a situation of instability. In a time of decreasing communitarian systems and social safety nets, we need to invest in direct care and aid programs, including ones that recognize animals and nature as an extension of our communities. When people are navigating housing insecurity, health problems, domestic violence, or anything else, the last thing they need is the heartbreak of giving up their animal. Respite foster provides a loving alternative and a solution to a growing need.”
